A small hole in the shieldwall shows pretty clearly hear. The elven bows found some chinks in the dwarven armour. The arrows, although just for fun, make up a crucial colourful element in this regiment though; given that it's all black and white, the arrows add the required accent to let them look good I think. The arrows and the blood accent the regiment perfectly!
