I really appreciate these sculpts. The brutal disfigurement of these characters allowed the
sculptors to break out of the 'all figs must be 28mms tall' rules. This one a is a little short, but
not too short. And a very good pose I think.

The whipping goblin from the goblin king spru is pretty good. The shape of the whip isn't terrible,
and the knife is very convincing. I particularly like the eyes as well.

This tiny little goblin is about 10cm high. Very cool little figure! It's also from the goblin king spru.

This is a big goblin, the tallest of all of those that I've painted. Again the face has a lot of character.

And now a smallish goblin, very much like its Moria goblin cousins to the south. I really like the
variation in these goblin figures!

The goblin king himself. I really tried to make it ugly. I initially painted it very clean just like
the GW goblin king, but then I decided to make it diseased and bruised as it was in the movie. Making convincing
bruises was very difficult. Other than that it was pretty straight forward to paint, just took time because of the size.

The fig pictured at just over three times its real size (depending on your screen resolution of course).
It kinda looks embarasingly sloppy to me at this magnification! On one hand I wish the fig were this big when I
painted it so that I could have done a better job, on the other hand that would mean a lot more painting!

A top view of the beast. You can see how the body is pinkinsh while the skull is ivory. In fact, both were painted
exactly the same initially, then layers were added on top of that to add character, only then did they look different.

The whole group together, ready to bring pain to the goblins. After these, only 31 goblins left to paint!

A lot of character in this fig. Over all, I really like it. Especially how the character of the face is reminiscent
of the Moria golbins...

The first of the goblins, not my favourite sculpt. I find that there's a little too much detail on the face
to make it easy to paint... but still, that does add to the general unpleasantness, so it's not bad at
all once it's finished.
